Happy Monday!!

OMG could you hear me squee when I saw I had comments?! Hahahaha! Hope you are all having a great Monday!

Menu planning for today is... not so much. There are several things I didn't make last week that I'll be making this week, including teriyaki chicken burgers tonight. Tomorrow night will be curry chicken salad. Wednesday will probably be honey mustard lime chicken in the crockpot. Thursday is leftovers, and I'll have to decide on the rest of the week on Friday (payday).

And now, for the weekend...

Operation Organization

The blinds didn't get cleaned, and the dog crate didn't get touched, but still, much was accomplished. The nieces tackled some vacuuming and dusting, and they did a bit of cleaning in the bathroom. My sis finally cleaned the rest of the bathroom, as I was putting things away in my NEWLY REARRANGED BEDROOM (yippee!!). And, if you'll excuse the mess, I have some "almost before" and "almost after" photos for you. I say "almost before" because we were sliding things around when I remembered, and "almost after" because I did a few more things on Sunday after these pics were taken.

Before:

To the right of the bookshelf is where the desk *was* before I started moving and remembered to take pics. From the left is my TV, file cabinet, bookshelf, and where the desk was. The ottomon I'm getting rid of.

Desk, end table and bed, with bench on the end. The items on the bed are from my sisters theory that anything on the floor when a rearrange starts goes on the bed, so basically you're looking at the dog's bed and recipes on my bed. Ugh.

I'm getting more mortified by the second. :) Bed to the left, end table and dead in front is my chest with dried flowers on it.

After:

Left is my chest, file cabinet, and TV. Ignore the two grocery bags filled with items to give to charity. :)

TV, desk and bed up front, with my niece and dog relaxing. :)

I moved out the book shelf (it's in the spare room) and replaced it with a chair. My mission is to keep it from being a catch all. The time on the clock isn't correct, BTW. :)

This week? THE DINING ROOM! I didn't get the dog cage collasped and stored, but hopefully I'll still get to that.

Still on track...

  1. Great job! ;0)Keep it up! Doesn't it feel so good when it's all done. The "middle" is the worst part. When I can get over the overwhelming urge to quit midstream and shove everything back into a closet somewhere, I'm always so glad I stuck with it.

    Glad you joined the challenge!
